Purpose: Designing a technology to distiguish authoritative 2D codes and their illegal replica that are displayed on mobile phone and smartphone screens and used as tickets.
Research outline: The member of this project has developed a method for 2D code authenticity determination using semi-fragile watermark technology. The watermark was designed by optimization system with actual smartphones. This project aims to simultaneously design watermarking scheme and image processing algorithm for watermark extraction. Coevolutionary optimization algorithm and evaluator with actual smartphones and GPU simulation allows us to design the semi-fragile watermark that is versatile for various screen types.
Promising results and its social impacts: this project provides secure and convenient 2D code c, which enhances security of traffic infrastructure such as airports and stations, logistics of food, medical supplies, and wastes
